Outside, on a wooden frame, the church bell that originally hung in the belfry of the antebellum Daphne Methodist Church 30 is displayed. When this bell was cast, silver dollars were donated by Mr. and Mrs. William Jones to line the inside of the bell in the area struck by the clapper to enhance the tone. The silver dollars cannot be seen by visual inspection inside of the bell, because they were fused with the metal.
